Charming cottage away from the crowds

Points positifs : Charming old cottage, renovated to suit modern needs. Kitchen was well equipped in terms of dishwasher, microwave, utensils, oven etc but only basic cooking essentials were provided. The sit out with glass doors is a lovely place to sit with a book or just chill with a glass of wine. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom is nicely done up. We never used the living room The kitchen fuse kept tripping while we were there but the host sent someone to repair it immediately.

Points négatifs : It's a little away from Flavacourt. No restaurants or grocery shops in walking distance. This wasn't an issue for us as we had a car. The bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor, accessed by a narrow wooden staircase - which could be a little difficult for elderly people to climb. The bathroom has no door, instead there's a thick curtain - not an issue for us but some may find it uncomfortable.

Points positifs : Beautiful house with lots of comfort. Kitchen has everything you need. Owners are really kind and lovely garden. We had a great time.

Points négatifs : Lack of instructions for quickly gaining access to oven, microwave, dishwasher Lack of smaller pans and lids and limited kitchen utensils eg: chopping/bread knife lack of stand up shower

We hebben enorm genoten. Het verblijf was fantastisch! We komen zeker nog eens terug!

Points positifs : de heerlijke serre en tuin, heerlijke keuken, ook fijn dat er een bad was. Het bed was heerlijk. De stilte, het geluid van de vogeltjes, de sterrenhemel. Prachtige omgeving, ook voor fietsers. de privacy was ook heel prettig!

Points négatifs : Eigenlijk hebben niet echt commentaar want het was echt fantastisch! Maar als we een paar tips mogen geven, dan: 1. graag meer keukenattributen, zoals pannen, bestek, kopjes etc.. dat was wat schaars. 2. een douche ophanging. Het bad was heerlijk maar een beetje onhandig om te douchen met de douchekop in de hand. (We beseffen dat dat wellicht lastig is met de plek van het bad, maar desalniettemin.) 3. Een nieuwe bank/bed in de serre want de vering heeft zijn beste tijd gehad.

Een tegenvaller

Points positifs : Gezellig huisje, mooi maar vrij sober ingericht. Keukenbenodigdheden minimaal. Geen broodmes aanwezig.

Points négatifs : Schuifdeur veranda was de eigenlijke deur om binnen/buiten te gaan en sloot ook niet goed af. Voelde erg onveilig aan gezien geen enkele andere deur kon afgesloten worden. Sloten werkten niet ondanks er wel sleutels op zaten. Ook de buitendeur van de slaapkamer/terras kon niet op slot. Ligt afgelegen. De rust heeft zijn voordelen maar voor 2 dames die samen reisden voelde dit niet veilig. We hoorden 's nachts ook gerommel op het terras, heb de tweede nacht dan ook niet gerust meer geslapen. Synthetisch beddegoed was ook een minpunt. Het heeft meer potentieel dan wat er nu aangeboden wordt. Geen keukenhanddoeken aanwezig.
